Shuntao Li is a London-based illustrator, printmaker and graphic designer originally from Xi’an, China.
Working across traditional medium, printmaking and Procreate, her practice blends Chinese folk visual culture with contemporary themes of spirituality, female experience and humour.
Kaopu Studio is the multidisciplinary practice of Shuntao Li. Rooted in Chinese visual culture, spirituality and feminine experience, the studio brings together printmaking, illustration, design and wellbeing practices through a poetic and contemporary lens.
“Kaopu” (靠谱) means reliable and trustworthy in Chinese — a nickname given to Shuntao by friends.
